Is
there a credit blacklist?
There is no national credit blacklist. When you are applying for a loan or finance, the
company you apply to may search your records with a credit reference agency. It is the
information on your credit file which they will use as part of their process for deciding
how credit worthy you are.
That's not about me...
If you get your credit files and you notice that they show information referring to other
people with whom you have no direct financial connection, you can ask for this information
to be removed. When you get your file you will also receive some guidance notes which
explain this in more detail. |
